The RAPID 500 is a top-loading high-throughput incinerator. Capable of disposing of up to 500kg or waste an hour.

Addfields RAPID 500 is a high-throughput forced draught waste incinerator developed to effectively dispose of large quantities of Agricultural, Medical/Pharmaceutical and General/Municipal waste.
Incinerating up to 500kg of waste an hour, our approach to incineration combines an advanced grated hearth system to enable increased capacity.
Hydraulic top loader
To enable the ability to repeatedly add waste into the primary chamber during operation, the RAPID range incorporates a hydraulically powered lid. Safely opening and closing the lid during operation and enabling the loading of waste to be carried out manually or automatically via a range of devices.
Open grate hearth
The RAPID incinerators are unique across the Addfield range for utilising an open-grated design.
A row of heavy-duty hearth rafts runs the length of the primary chamber. Waste is loaded onto these grates, and ash falls directly into the lower chamber during the incineration process. This ensures that maximum surface area is accessible for incineration enabling better throughput and reduced fuel usage. Allowing for regular reloading and deashing during operation.
Accessible Deashing
The lower deashing chamber is accessible from three deashing doors. These enable all ash to be extracted throughout the incineration cycle. For user safety, limit switches are connected to all doors to switch each respective burner off whilst open automatically.
Combustion System
The RAPID 500 combines seven (high/low) pulse-fired burners. Ensuring that even waste with low calorific value can be securely destroyed during incineration.
A balanced pre-heated combustion air system transforms the calorific value of waste, minimising fuel usage.
Whilst additional combustion air is driven upwards from the lower refractory through the open grate delivering virtual 360° heat.
Refractory Structure
All Addfield incinerators utilise a triple-layered refractory system. Combining 190 mm thick insulation and heat-retaining firebrick, developed to provide maximum thermal efficiency in operation.
The loading chamber is capped off with reinforced impact-resistant pre-cast blocks. Built for the impacts of heavy usage, these blocks are easily interchangeable throughout the machine’s life. They are engineered to withstand thermal shock from the heat generated by the incineration process and mechanical impacts caused by the multiple loading processes commonly used to operate the Rapid Machines.
