Addfield joins SME Export Track 100

This May we were honored to be included in the Sunday Times 5th annual ‘Sunday Times WorldFirst SME Export Track 100‘. One of only 11 companies based in the Midlands to have achieved inclusion and coming in at position 71. Joining 6 other companies in our region that are being awarded such recognition for the first time this year.

“This is a real honor for us all at Addfield, throughout the past few years, we have worked really hard to increase our international presence. We have built strong relationships with our distributors, attended many international exhibitions and forged our reputation for quality and reliability with international governments and aid agencies. Because of this, we have seen a solid increase in our year on year sales. To receive recognition like this joining the ranks of some really successful companies flying the flag of Made In Britain, really does mean a lot to us. ” Derek Carr, Operations Director.

It is a testament to our multilingual workforce including our sales team and engineers that are able to deliver such a high standard of work and service that has helped us to achieve over 50% growth internationally during the past two years.

The SME Export Track 100 was published in the business supplement of the Sunday Times, on the 26th May and it ranks Britain’s small and medium-sized private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.

These league tables are a great indication that even with all the uncertainty with Brexit looming we are still able to play an important part in the UK economy providing sustainability and growth for the region.

The SME Export Track 100 is sponsored by WorldFirst, DHL Express, and Heathrow Airport, and is supported by the government’s Exporting is GREAT campaign of which we are proud ‘Exporting Champions’ for the Midlands Engine. The awards have been compiled by Fast Track, an Oxford-based research and networking events firm and they have been publishing the awards now for the past 22 years.

“SMEs are fundamental to achieving our target of increasing exports as a percentage of GDP to 35%, so it is vital we give them the recognition they deserve. The exporters listed in this year’s SME Export Track 100 are pioneers whose example should be followed by ambitious businesses across the UK.” Liam Fox, Secretary of State for International Trade
